Dr. Yevgeniy Mayr is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale school of Medicine and practicing outpatient Psychiatrist with Yale New Haven Health. He is a first generation Ukrainian-American, originally hailing from the city of Kryvyi Rih.

His professional interests include dual treatment of substance use and mental health disorders, medical education, global health and AI applications in the healthcare space.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022, Dr. Mayr has been involved in assisting Ukrainian refugees in finding safe passage to the United States through the United for Ukraine Humanitarian Parole program. As a member of DU4U, he is leading an educational initiative entitled Project Minerva, which seeks to provide Ukrainian clinicians, students, and the general public with essential educational resources and expert guidance focused on mental health, physical and psychological rehabilitation, substance and behavioral addictions
