Alla is a Board certified obstetrician and gynecologist with focus on pediatric and adolescent gynecology and co-founder of DU4U.

Alla was born in western Ukraine, Zakarpatska oblast’ and immigrated to the US after graduating form medical school. She has been involved in the Ukrainian-Russian war since 2014 when she facilitated transfer of severely wounded soldiers from Ukraine to the United States hospitals.

Since February 2022 Alla has been in touch with the obstetricians and gynecologists in Kyiv and Odessa and has been focused on assessing needs of the maternity hospitals as well as gynecologic hospitals.

She is also working closely with the work group at the United Nations Population Fund-UNFPA on organizing help for sexual and reproductive health for women and adolescent females in Ukraine. The latter project includes help to victims of rape of the current war.
